On March 16th, 2008 the the five founding members of Jotun's Bane Kindred gathered at Gaea Retreat...a beautiful camping area in the middle of nowhere...in order to take our Kindred Oath. This was six months after our first gathering, and something we had looked forward to for quite awhile. It was a little cold out, so we had a big fire, ate lots of food, hunted around a bit for a suitable location for our Oath-Taking, and formally created our Kindred. Our Kindred Hammer, "Jotun's Bane," our iron Oath Ring, and several personal hammers all created by Kindred Member Craig Winkler.

This photo is of another field out at Gaea Retreat...as golden as Sif's hair.
It was by this old oak tree that we took our Kindred Oaths. The Oak grew on the edge of a cliff, setting its roots in the rocks of the cliff.

The fire we built back at our camp was so large, that it was nearly impossible to put it out at the end of the night. This photo is of the thick coal bed.
